Well said! It’s always hard to fund the core work that makes everything else possible. Buzzwords and Big Ideas™ get the spotlight and the funding, while the people actually responsible for implementation get dismissed as dealing in minutiae. But without them, nothing sticks.

Agreed. This is why I’m no longer bothered by ADA curb cuts with no sidewalks, or sidewalks that go to nowhere.
